The StewJams is a Vancouver-grown, grass-roots Hip-Hop collective that hosts monthly improvisation sessions with a live band. Each event features new musicians, a DJ, a dance showcase and a visual artist or designer.
The Stew exists first and foremost, for the community. They provide a mic to voices that must be heard, and stand in solidarity with people facing injustice. As a group of 10+ musicians, dancers and vocalists, we have performed at festivals such as AHFOMAD, Surrey Fusion Fest, and the Vancouver Mural Fest.
Founded in 2018, the Stew is currently adjusting to the times and figuring out how to keep the flava coming.
